Bachelorette Party Photoshoot in Nolita

Bridal party member, Sasha, organized this photoshoot for their bride-to-be to commemorate a Sex and the City-themed bachelorette weekend here in NYC, with members of the group traveling from various locations to celebrate.

Despite the original plan to shoot outdoors in DUMBO, the cold and rainy weather forced a last-minute change to Plan B. I suggested to shoot at The Public Hotel in NoLiTa, where they were all staying. Normally, we would have waited until better weather and rescheduled to a different date, but this was their last day here together in the city and it could not be moved.

The change of plans seemed promising, but security quickly intervened, halting our shoot due to their policy restrictions (despite the party having cleared it with them beforehand!). Adapting on the spot, we captured striking portraits in their room without any hitches, but attempts to shoot in common areas and outdoors were met with staff objections, nudging us to make the best out of a tricky situation. Constraints aside, we embraced the limitations and delivered some stylish and memorable shots under challenging circumstances.

Here are some of my favorite images from this shoot (click/tap to view full size and un-cropped):
